well, i don't hate it. i don't even dislike it. the ghost wrangling is modestly fun and destroying everything in the environment is... pleasant. make no mistake, it is just another of a million "action adventure" games, but i do like it better than most of them. it looks good and i'd suspect i'd prefer this cartoony version over the xbox 360 one because, well, fundamentally, it's silly. the voice acting is pretty fun, though naturally the story is pretty... nothing. all that "this is ghostbuster 3 but as a game" is absurd. games have not gotten very close to that kind of thing and even things like fallout 3 or mass effect only seem to be half trying. that said it's pretty close to faulkner when compared to, uh, take your pick, mario, elebits, gears of war etc. what else? it doesn't overreach itself, it has difficulty levels (something i appreciate). i mostly like how it controls with the wii mote pointing, though changing out weapons can be a bit of a stretch. i mildly dislike how the game is divided into stages or sections and rates you on each one. wii games seem especially prone to this and i find it fairly pointless and anti-immersive. if this game had found a way to put in some leveling on your weapon pack, some rpg-ish stuff, perhaps paid for with your damage count, that would have put this game towards the upper tiers, perhaps in shouting distance of the ratchet and clanks of the world. but in the end, this game has not irritated me hardly at all and has an actual story, which, about 8 games into my new wii, makes it (a little sadly) the best wii game i have yet played. by all means, do put it in your q.
