Ok this game is great for a 1 time play threw. i really enjoyed the story but after playing it once threw i found myself not wanting to play it again, could just be me..then i started the online play..This is where the game goes wrong..the online play its self is great but i feel they must of rushed this game and diddnt put much work into the online. First off the only way to rank up is threw a rank match and i dont mind that but you cant invite friends to a rank match so hooking up with 3 other buddies requires them to search for your game. Another problem with the online set up is the glitches, hopefully those will be resolved with future patches. durning online gameplay its terrible with how people try to fight over to slam a ghost in a trap. before you know it your out of time and you spent 2 min tring to get 1 ghost in a trap altho this isnt an issue when playing with friends i do however finds this a major problem playing with a mix room.

over-al i have said more cons the pros but i enjoyed this game for the first time threw. saidly to say i bought this game from best buy and i really wish i would of waited for it on gamefly. its a great game but it does lose its hype after a little bit. so rent it and check it out. but dont rush out and buy it.

The other reviews speak for themselves. This is what "Ghostbusters" fans, like me, have wanted for a long time: a game like this. The game does a great job with themes from both movies.
It is a lot of fun to play, it's a great challenge at times and there are plenty of ghosts to catch.
The idea of catching ghosts with the likes of Akroyd, Murray and Ramis completes the experience for me.
I rented it, plan on purchasing it and will keep on playing it.

I'll be the first to admit that I was in love with Ghostbusters as a child and when news hit that a game would be coming out, I was eagerly waiting for its release. About two or three days prior to the game coming out, I started to reconsider purchasing this game as the past few games I had bought ended up being duds (more or less just MLB2K9). In the same token, when games based upon movies are released, they usually fall short of the hype behind them. Upon taking Ghostbusters hope, I was actually surprised at how good of a game it is. Although there are some repetitive parts and the graphics tend to drop off in certain areas, this game certainly fulfilled my need of returning to childhood memories while playing an enjoyable game.

One of the best features of this game is wrangling ghosts into the trap. To keep things from getting repetitive Ghostbusters gives you several different weapons to help weaken the ghosts and then 'bag em' and tag em'. Additionally the voice overs in this game are spot on, with each character giving witty comments as they did in the movies. Although I would have like to have seen a game with more free roam (perhaps a GTA based Ghostbusters in which the Ghostbusters travel in the Ecto cruiser to mission locations - gamers dreams I suppose), this game will certainly provide you with an enjoyable experience and make you want to pop in the movies and take a trip down memory lane!
