A flawless hybrid of Shooter and Survival Horror

first let me go on a limb and say that gears of war is the best looking game I have ever played if not the best looking game of so far in gaming altogether.
With that out of the way I will also say that Gears of war or GOW is so much better than either Halos at combining fast paced gameplay with horror and suspence. Because in GOW one second you will be battling a swarm of Locust Drones and the next you could be slowly padding your way down an abandoned corridor with the lights flickering on and off and hearing all sorts of noises and clatters around you and the entire time you will be developing that hair on the back of your neck sort of intuitary feeling that lets you know that something quite nasty is stalking you. And then...BAM a giant berserker smashes through a wall next to you, stops to smell the air and then charges at you with the intent to grind you into chunks as you fire inneffectually at its armored hide. GOW does such a good job of putting you the player in Marcus Fenix's boots that you may find yourself actually rolling out of your seat to avoid enemy fire. GOW is also a prime example of the hype mill actually being correct. GOW is one of those special games like half life and DOOM that only come around once in a great while and when they arrive they shatter the current precedents and perspectives of Gamers everywhere. Disk based perfection...A MUST BUY FOR ANY GAMER PERIOD!
pros-Heart poundingly intense and then just as easily eerie and spooky a hybrid of the shooter and Survival Horror Genre only seen in the likes of F.E.A.R. Great sound, score and perfect gameplay. Best graphics in a game to this point
Cons-Campaign is short and not extremely replayable. Online is glitchy.
