360 IN HIGH GEAR

Finally a next gen game with the graphics to back it up, if you trap an enemy they don't just sit there they continuously try to flank you pretty good too, casual is easy but hardcore really offers a great challenge if you want some competition, the controls are simple but taking cover sometimes messes you up when you don't want to take cover sometimes you do and it gets you killed. other than that a great variety of weapons solid fun multiplayer no lag aa great game this ones definitely a keeper.

Gears of War is freaking amazing. From the second I started the game, I was immersed in GoW's environment. Now, let's get to the nitty-gritty

Graphics-
No doubt about it, Gears of War has the best graphics of any 360 game to date. The humans and Locusts are both amazingly rendered, down to the last detail. There are very cool lighting effects, (especially in the Nightfall chapter)and everything seems very real.

Audio-
Another shining point of Gears, the audio matches the gameplay perfectly. From the chainsaw revving/flesh tearing as you cut a Locust enemy in half, to the gunfire as you quickly pop your head up from behind your cover to shoot at the enemies who are quickly advancing on your position. The sound effects, character voices, and background music all help to immerse you in the great environment of Gears.

Gameplay-
Last but not least, the most important aspect of any game. And yet again, Gears delivers. Every fight is intense, you know that every step you take might be your last. The cover system is great, and very user-friendly. It takes about 30 minutes to get used to the controls, but once you do you'll be SWAT turning and Roadie Running like a pro. There could have been a bit more weapon variety, but that's a very small flaw in the game, compared to how great it is. I haven't even gotten to play the Multiplayer yet, but just based on the Singleplayer, Gears of War earns an easy perfect score of 10.
