Good

Same old Gears, but still a good shooter

I'll keep this short and sweet: GoW: Judgment is a good game. However, it felt more like a GoW expansion pack rather than a full-fledged game. The only difference I noticed (in regards to the campaign) is that there is now a star "rank" system after each battle. It scores you based on # of kills, gib shots, ribbons, how many times you had to be revived, etc. You also earn in game achievements based on criteria like # of executions, number of doors opened, grenades, etc. Once you beat Judgment (or earn 50 stars) you unlock Aftermath, which is a short 3-hour campaign that is a sidestory to an event that happened in GoW 3.

There you have it. It's a good, functional Gears game. However, I would have been rather disappointed if I paid $60 for it as there just wasn't enough content for my tastes.

with everyone starting with grenades you will find yourself getting constantly barraged by them in multiplayer. invincibility grenades are ridiculous and allow you to eat a gnasher shot from point blank range. with only four maps you get a feeling that you are getting stiffarmed into buying the vip pass. multiplayer is less personal with the removal of executions. i find the award system devalues all of the weapon skins buy letting you unlock a onyx skin on your first roll. so rent it play campaign try out overrun and go back to gears 3
