I am a huge fan of the GOW series. I own all 3 Gears of War and I was definitely interested when I heard about judgment. However, after playing Judgment, I didn't feel the same satisfaction and entertainment that I felt from playing the other Gears of War games. I admire that it tried to go a different route with the Declassified mission option and the flashback setting, but it just didn't have the same feel to it. It felt weird not playing as Marcus Fenix, and I think that change was something that should have been reconsidered. All in all, the game is definitely still worth playing, but I would strongly consider renting it before you purchase it.
I felt like I need to write a review because of all the nonsense people are complaining about.. we are still playing gears on xbox 360 they can only do so much.. I do feel the game was well thought out. If they made to big of changes pople would be complainging about that.. its not the most compelling gears of war but it is Deffently fun..also the COG's vs Soilders deathmatches felt good when playing, Over all I think its a great game and dont pay attention to all the haters, find out for your self.
I liked the fact that the campaign was based on Damon Baird. What I didn't like, however, was the fact that I had to send the game back early. I barely got into the beginning of the campaign because I was greatly dissappointed in this game. The game itself is based on the past so why they have the Gears 3 Onyx Gaurds and Reavers in it is beyond me. Another thing that bugged me was the fact that the game only allows you to have two guns at a time. In the Call of Duty (Y) button form. I am a huge Gears of War fan and the fact that I can't even complete the campaign without sending it back is sad. I hope EPIC really fixes their future games, because this game is horrible.
