More of the same!

While I haven't been a huge fan of the Gears of War franchise this title has done nothing to change that. Simply put this game is more of the same from all the other ones. Most of the gameplay is still the same and very little is changed. As a matter of fact that is the biggest problem with this game! This game has zero new gameplay mechanics or missions that feel fresh. It seems they half-heatedly tried that with the "declassified" missions but those get just as tedious and predictable as the rest of the game. Multiplayer is no better and to be quite honest most other games do multiplayer better than this one does.

Overall this game is a rental at best but I do not recommend buying it or giving it more than that. I give this game a 5/10 for being a very lackluster and copy-paste game for this series.

where did single player go?

I will always stand by the conviction, any game with a price tag of 60 bucks should have a solid single player campaign, multiplayer only games should be 40 bucks.

i personally like this series of games but this one was a let down. i play single player so i don't have to deal with other people. with a real lacking campaign and so much focus on co-op and mulitplayer i would recommend passing it up.

Gears of War: Judgement

Another Gears of War game that had a pretty good storyline but I just got bored of it really quickly. I was pretty excited for this game at first. I thought it would be a game where I could improve on my GoW skills but, like always, I do the worst on the team. The controls are a little bit different, for a more fast paced gaming experience. I liked the game, and just because I am bad at it isn't a reason to give it a bad rating. The reason I give it a 7 is, like I said, it just got boring really quickly for me. Horde mode is different and it just isn't the same experience as all the previous GoW games. However, the storyline was great and had some nice touches to it. It was good to get some background information on Baird and Cole. It is worth a rent. I already paid my sixty dollars on it, so it's too late for me. Most hardcore GoW fans would probably like it, not sure about anyone else.
