It's not going to be one of my top 10 games, but I almost didn't rent it after reading other reviews and that would've been a mistake. There is a lot of quality and personality to this game. I can understand why it gets a bum rap compared to GTA, but the gameplay is totally different and fun in its own way. Aside from choosing which order you take over the territories of London, it is basically a linear game. There is a fair amount of variety and levels of difficulty in the missions, and best of all (for me at least), if you fail 6 or 7 times, it allows you to skip the mission and claim success... Also, the free-roaming modes around London are very well done and show just how big the game actually is, and the pool game in the "pub games" menu is pretty cool. If you're looking for a good game after playing all the top 10, then this is worth the rental...
The only reason i really rented this game was because i hadn't played anything on psp in a long time and wanted to see what else was out there...
This game is mediocre at best, the fighting is very monotonous and the missions all seem similar, Driving can be a little awkward(Maybe due to the fact that your driving on the left side of the road)
You choose from a variety of gangs, each with a different stats and weapons. Honestly i really couldn't find an variation in the different classes, the only difference is what gangs you fight and what your missions are. This game also makes no connection to the gangs and gang members. You never really get to know any characters and you never feel any emotion toward them. Also i dont think there was enough variety to weapons. Another reason i gave this a lower grade is due to the fact that you cant pick up any other weapon, and for some reason you have an infinite amount of ammunition. It has some mini games but none of them are really that much better than the campaign, though i did have fun playing the mini game "one month later" which is a play on the movie 28 days later also set in England about Zombies. In this mini game you will use your gang to battle against zombies, sometimes you will have to protect a gang member, sometimes you will have to just kill 90 zombies before dying. Playing 1 month later was the only fun i had playing this game. It really is a waste of time, if you are looking for a good psp title, look more toward Socom: Fire Team Bravo, or even Loco Roco. I would suggest staying away from this game, unless you really have a thirst for repetitive game play and boring story lines.
Not such a bad game good graphics, good game play but you lose too quickly you can only take about 2 punches and the cars are pretty durabla too. I recommend picking the EC2 crew or the talwar brothers if you get the game.
