One Party Game That Discourages Head to Head Fun

On the Wii, one of the most made games is the mini game compilation where four players use the Wiimote (with or without Nunchuck) to play simple, and sometimes fun, games.
But the first game I’ve played on the WiiU that’s in the mini game compilation – Game Party Champions – omits the head to head multiplayer option.
The multiplayer mode, Party Mode, has each of the players taking turns taking moving on a gameboard. When a player lands on a square, they place one of the eight mini games (basketball, football, skill ball, water gun, miniature golf, table tennis, air hockey, and baseball). The mini game is determined by the color of the square you land on. If you win, you get to stay on that square if not, you go back to where you started the turn from. First one to the finish square (and beats the mini game there) wins.
I’ll say it again. At no point in this game do you go head to head against another human player – something that NO mini game compilation should have.
There’s also a Story Mode where you play as a guy or gal who enters a contest to win trophies (there’s not much of a story here). There are four stages (Easy, Medium, Hard, and Pro). But the story is really boring – or annoying.
Each stage, you have to win each of the mini games five times. It’s not hard on the Easy stages but it get really tough on the Medium or Hard stages (good luck getting past the final stage of Skill Ball on Medium.)
And you can play any of the mini games one time - by yourself.
But these games don’t have very clear instructions to them, and the controls are sketchy at best (shooting the basketball into the hoop while it’s up close to you is really tough).
Game Party Champions would just be another forgettable mini game compilation if it were on the Wii, which makes it a really bad game on the WiiU. SKIP IT

Poor game design and graphics. The game is very choppy and the story line sucks.

Don't believe the negative reviews for this game. Game Party Champions is pretty fun, and has decent graphics. Decent launch title for the Wii U
