I didn't have any and I got an okay game. I am glad I didn't spend the money to buy it, oh yeah.

Run, gun GI Joe style is kind of just silly at first. But then accepting it for what it is - a shooter where you just pull the trigger(or even just keep it held down since you never have to worry about reloading), hit a couple of buttons, dodge THOUSANDS upon thousands of bullets flying every which way.

I was into it back in the day and it's hmm... kind of cool to get to play them in a game. I'd definitely suggest a play for any arcade loving shooter people out there.. but if you are looking for a serious thing then you may want to play something else.

Gameplay, ok. Sound, ok. Music, good. Replayability... not a keeper for me. But I will be glad to play through for the achievements since I already have it.

Commando Joe

This game is essentially Commando but with WAY more characters. Thats the best way to describe it to someone thinking about playing this game. There is no other way around it.

If you don't know what commando is, its a top down vertical shooter where you shoot in all directions of enemies coming towards you. You take a shot you die instantly. You have a bomb power up and you have a shooting button, thats about it.

G.I. joe is pretty much the same game, but with the added feature of turning into robots that run really fast with their arms straight out that fire large lasers and a power up button that varies for each character you play.

This game in all honesty is very boring as a home console game. It doesn't feel like it should have been released on the console, it feels like an arcade game. It has scores, it has ranking that tells you how well you preformed. It really feels like its about three generations behind on gameplay.

The only things I can really compliment on this game are its musical score and that the artwork looks really decent. I don't mean the in game 3d Models or the textures. I mean literally the hand drawings for the characters look pretty nice. The music doesn't even really set the mood. Its just good in its own right.

I don't suggest playing this game honestly unless your a major fan of G.I. Joe or of Smash TV/Robotron/Commando/Mercs type games. Its just very very lame and uninspired.

Nothing special. Good story, okay graphic and okay gameplay. If you are a fan of old school shooters like Contra, you'll probably really like this. 2 play coop is also pretty nice.
