I realize that this game is designed and intended for use as a multiple player game. I played it briefly as a single player and was enjoying the game when all of a sudden the controls just wouldn't respond. What a shame. I just don't enjoy multiple player games. My synapses don't click like they once did and I need a little extra microsecond or so just to orient my mind. But if you are into multiple players you may enjoy this game. Try it. That's what GameFly offers -- at least until Xbox ONE puts its big foot in the door.

Wasn't really sure what I'd think about this game, saw the art and figured it'd be one of those "Meh, I'll get to it when I do" titles. While I may have started that way, I definitely grew with it and ended up leaving it more pleased than I found it.
[[ WEAPONS ]] The xeno-weapons are crazy and varied enough, providing great and punishing combos when paired with other members' xeno-weapons.
The [[ CHARACTERS ]] are okay, although you have to read through a lot of "Intel" packets (collected throughout the game) to really learn anything about them. Honestly though, I didn't really feel anything for any of them because the game didn't really show me why I should care about them other than they're some "bad guys who apparently turned against the bad corporation, so they're good now" type of thing.
[[ STORY ]] isn't too bad, although it's not particularly original or riveting. Kinda curious how the corporation has such a ridiculous number of bad guys to throw into the grinder of my rather horrifying weapons.
Honestly, I don't think this game really did all that much wrong. I mean, it's far from life-affirming -- just about everything in this game is either cliche' or has been done already. That said, it still manages to put the pieces together in a pretty decent way. If you've got a couple days to kill and want to shake things up between playing CoD and DragonAge, this could be a decent break for you to change things up with a fringe-tech shooter.
