As a casual gamer who usually gives up on a game after the seventh time of retrying a level, I can honestly say that Fire Emblem is the first game I've played where failing actually encouraged me to play even more. Playing Fire Emblem reminding me a lot of chess, and the principles of it are basically the same. You're a strategist who moves your pieces/units across the field, taking turns with the other team.
I love the story line, and adore the support conversations. The more a pair of units fight together, the stronger their relationship becomes, and can even blossom into love. It was my favorite part of the game just to see what their children would look like, and you can even marry the children to each other as well.
Even if you're not a huge strategy fan, I am confident that this game will pull you in from start to finish. With amazing graphics (seriously, turn on the 3D during animations), writing, and gameplay, there's no way that you can hate this game.
This a game with both a compelling story and characters and addictive gameplay. To those of you looking for an experiece with choice, emotion, and variety then this game is certain to become one of your favorites.
Delve into the newest chapter in Fire Emblem's Shadow Dragon timeline and defeat an ancient evil preparing to destroy all life. Make sure your strategy is great to avoid casualties and win each battle, buy DLC packs to gain new soldiers from old Fire Emblem games, and experience the best Fire Emblem game in the series. Well, I think it's the best and personally recommend it. It's definitely perfect for strategy/tactics fans. Just be prepared to feel the need to restart alot if you don't want casualties and just have to try again with a different strategy.
