How many versions can you make of the same game?

Another remake of final fantasy one. Great. No, really, great. Final Fantasy (one) is a great RPG, and age hasn't hurt this title too much. You do the same things you (usually) always do in the earlier FF's - get crystals, level up, save someone, level some more. This formula works, and it works well on the PSP. The biggest flaw with this version are the graphics. They're definately a step up from the GBA version, however they are still 2D, and we deserve a 3d FF. For me, FINAL FANTASY III on the DS is the best handheld FF ever, and I cannot grasp why SquareEnix didn't take the extra time or effort to give us something similar - especially on a more powerful system like the psp. Regardless, this still is a great game and definately worth a rental for the casual rpg-er, and a purchase for the hardcore. B-.
