The game belongs in your memory, trust me, nostalgia is better than the real thing. The graphics haven't aged well, and if you concentrate hard enough, you can see the moment where square started assuming it's playerbase isn't smart enough to figure out basic rpg combat. Also blitzball is still a thing, and it's so much worse than you remember.
Replaying this game made me love it that much less, and I don't wish that on anyone.
For me, this had a lot of promise. Unfortunately the pacing was much too slow to make this very enjoyable. Standard aged RPGs like this can be fun but when so much of your time is spent doing almost nothing and it begins to feel like a chore.
