Purists may not be happy, but the story is as rousing an adventure as ever. Graphics are as incredible as advertised, with good voice work overall. The thing that most won't like is that the story so far (I'm half way through disc 2 of 3) is purely linear. No sidequesting. No grinding. No finding all the cool stuff. I think the story and system outweigh it, but the purist in me knows that many will shut it off over this, especially in a world of open ended games. I still recommend it, if for nothing other than the parade on disc 2. It is possible the most beautiful cut scene I have viewed in years.
The game is okay but when I was on disk 2 the game really started to get extremly frustating and I tryed o defeatedthe same boss 8 times!!! So I have up on the game. The guide may help but it's like 24 dollars for it and I am not paying that. Guide used to be 13. Ridicoius
Even though PS3 fanboys think the PS3 version has better graphics. Its not about that. Square makes games like this cross platform for a reason and one of them is to keep the system requriments within a certin range for uniformity. Use FFXI for example it was designed to be on multiple platforms from day one, why make one version of your product that you invest your money in better than another version to loose the money you invest. Simple economics.
