My main concern for FFVII: AC was that it would be confusing. I am one of the people out there who haven't played the PS1 classic so I don't know much about the story except all the characters names. The story is about something called "Mother" who a group of bad guys are trying to control. A deadly virus is spreading, I forgot the name, and "Mother" is the only thing that can cure it. A crazed bad guy, forgot his name too, tries to take the Sephiroth Strain that was created from Jenova which can bring Sephiroth back to life. The fight sequences are top notch and brilliantly directed by Tetsuya Nomura (Kingdom Hearts series, FF 7-X-2) the graphics are absolutely incredible and look so real. The biggest thing about this is the story isn't confusing at all. You don't even have to be a Final Fantasy fan to enjoy the movie! I watched the DVD version but is the same as the UMD version. I recommend this to everybody who has an imagination for sci-fi action and and a fantasy story. This is one of the best films of the year. One side note is that is has some pretty serious humorous moments as well where you just bust out laughing and is a perfect length of 90 minutes.
