After playing the tactics advance on the GBA and the story to the original FF Tactics this one seems... well boring to start off with. like even for a rpg boring, the start is really really slow, and the cut scenes look nice but other then that the overall thing for this is quite mediocre at best. i went in expecting something that was fun to pick up from the get go like tactics advance but got like FFXI where you need to pointlessly level grind to make it to the fun levels later on in the game.
Other then the incredible slowness of the game. its nice, the graphics are pretty for a hand held and it stays true the the lots and lots of menus that most people have grown to love with Final Fantasy games.
If you don't own a Nintendo hand held... then play this. if you do. Tactics advance is much better, not quite as deep but still more fun
I came into this game expecting a lot, seeing as how its a cherished game from my childhood. As it turns out, I was not disappointed. Its almost exactly how I remembered it with a few minor changes like a completely re-translated script and remastered character sprites. The first thing you notice is how sexy this game looks on the PSP's ginourmous screen. Each sprite looks brighter and more polished then their predecessors. As I said before the script was retranslated so you will notice a bit of difference in things like names(Gafgarion has an extra f now!). The soundtrack sounds the same almost, its seems like its missing something though...still can't figure out what it is. But overall its a great port of the old game. The addition of a couple new classes and some other stuff makes the game worth buying.
