I really do like the idea of the DS and Wii working together. A big part of the charm for me with the original Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles game was the interaction between the GBA and the Gamecube. I was really hoping we'd see something like that again with the Wii and DS, especially since they're both wireless devices, so it should be easy. The result with Echoes of Time is really kind of poorly done. While it's novel that we can get the systems to work in tandem and communicate with each other, I think the only thing that trying to execute the game on both systems accomplished was to diminish the Wii version. I was hoping for an ability to import characters between the Wii and DS, but lacking that ability, it seems the only reason to get the Wii version of EoT is because you don't have a DS and want to play with your friends that do have DSs. If you like FF:CC, certainly try this out on the DS, but the Wii version doesn't really add anything.
ummm this game is horrible got it for my wife put it in looked at it took it out played wii sports. we love ff games this one is the worst ive seen. looks like they the ds trew up on my tv what were they thinking
To be honest this game was hard to enjoy visually. The main screen and menu scree at best only takes up so much space at best and even then you spend it with all wasted screen that could be used to help in the game. Due to trying to switch back and forth between the two and losing focus with the other really made this game a chore to me. If one could handle this it is still fun to customize your party or even just as fun to play with others if you've got people interested as well.
