This game is a lot of fun when you have any frustrations you want to vent. The graphics are quite good, but the sound of the hits is definitely one of the selling points of the game. You get a good variety of fighters to choose from, and if that isn't enough you can create your own and start him on a career. However, there's not a lot of depth to the career mode--really the only modifications you make are what type of gloves or shoes or shorts you buy with your winnings. But they do have some nice clothing purchases that boost your stats some. The game plays pretty much the same as the first two Fight Night titles, so aside from the graphics improvements there's not a lot that's new. But that being said, getting on-line and pounding away is pretty darn fun. Of note, though, if you have the means to get the XBox 360 version it's a thousand times better graphics. But for those of us who don't have a 360, this is still a good game.
This is the best boxing game I have ever played and I have to say that this take the championship belt. Graphics are beautiful, especially the KOs. You can see the sweat pour on as the fight progresses. The controls are nice and easy. Using the right control stick to throw your punches is guineas. That means no button mashing is allowed. Oh don't worry the right control stick works perfectly and allows your punches to be executed smoothly. This is a great game, pick it up.
The create a boxer mode is pretty good, even on 1st gen. xbox. The player modeling is good, and the fluid range of motion is excelent. The game has noticeably BAD picilation in the audiance however, and bad graffics on just about everything that is outside of the ring.In fact the audiance is so badly picilated that that part of the game you would think it was playing on a P.S one. Ewwwww... I thought they could do better then that with the current Gen.consoles, but I Guess not?! Just another reason for me to consider forking out the extra money for a next Gen. console.
