I've been playing this series since it's inception. I would say I'm pretty good at the game. The logistics of this game are clumsy at best. The graphics are better, the replays are great, the story line is gripping....but...the mechanics of the fighting are a step back from Fight Night III. When you pop the game in, you are instantly sucked into a riveting career mode. I found myself quickly entertained. BUT...the first real fight is seriously difficult. I tried it 10 times and then had to switch it all the way down to "amateur" difficulty in order to finally get past it (it took me a total of about 20 tries!). The controls for punching are not nearly as organized and ergonomic as FN III. Everything about this game is better and improved over FN III except where it matters most - the mechanics and fundamental controls. It's a shame...I got this game from Gamefly with the hopes that I would love it enough to buy it. Instead, I liked it just barely enough to play it for 2 days before I sent it back. Shame. I'll go back to playing Fight Night III.

I must say, I was dissapointed that I received this game because I just signed up. It turned out to be a great first game from GAMEFLY!! The graphics are GREAT! The sound is Good, and the fighters signature moves are on point. The storyline was very, very short, but if you build a legacy fighter it seems to never end! You can win 3 belts per weight class, and move up a weight class as well. Overall the game is a 7.5/10.
Give it a try! its fun to knock your friends out!!
