When Rob (Omarion Grandberry), an aspiring Harlem rapper, has a run-in with some gang members, he's forced to hide in Puerto Rico with a father he's never really known. There, he discovers his love for Reggaeton, the spicy mix of salsa, reggae, and hip-hop. While he immerses himself in the spiritual home of his newest passion, he discovers what it's like to have a father and a family. He and his step-brother Javi (Victor Rasuk) join forces with dancer C.C. (Zulay Henao) to pursue their dream of becoming huge Reggaeton stars. As they travel the path of musical stars, they face challenges of life, love, and loss, all culminating in an explosive performance at New York's Puerto Rican Day Parade.
