A great single player game. Only knock on the game was that after a few hours on the single player mode I wanted to check out the multiplayer mode and had troubles. After waiting for five minutes for a multiplayer deathmatch to start, I gave up and pushed the eject button.
Shaky camera made me ill. Graphics above average except camera angles ruined enjoyment. I wish some game makers would realize playing should be seamless and not feel like work. Mixing potions. Stitching hides. We get it but we don't want to do it over and over. Boring. Nothing new here. Borrows from Just Cause and RDR, but does not do it as well. Many say it borrows also from AC; that would explain some of the things I disliked. I would prefer third-person view, too; I generally do not like first-person angles. And I detest RPG. This is probably a worthy game; just not for me.
I'll start off by saying, that I understand the appeal of this game. An open world FPS RPG with a riveting story and characters. Though I did enjoy the narrative: the wilderness, enemy AI, and majority of the characters were a quick turn off.
The fps portion was well done, and I can't gripe on the controls or the level up system. Yet it's kinda broken when a base of enemies seem to know where you are when firing a silenced weapon, and the fact that they ignore all other combatants and creatures just to kill you.
All and all, it was a fun game (never got to try the multiplayer since my copy didn't come with a pass), but I think the 10s and 9s are a little undeserved.
