I'll start off by saying, that I understand the appeal of this game. An open world FPS RPG with a riveting story and characters. Though I did enjoy the narrative: the wilderness, enemy AI, and majority of the characters were a quick turn off.
The fps portion was well done, and I can't gripe on the controls or the level up system. Yet it's kinda broken when a base of enemies seem to know where you are when firing a silenced weapon, and the fact that they ignore all other combatants and creatures just to kill you.
All and all, it was a fun game (never got to try the multiplayer since my copy didn't come with a pass), but I think the 10s and 9s are a little undeserved.

There needs to be more games like this. It's got a pretty amazing storyline, with enough rpg and fps aspects to make the single player awsome. Throw in an above average call of dutyish multiplayer that brings some new unique game modes and rpg styling's and you have a game you can play for numerous hours.
The co-op could have been worked on more, but gives a few bonus hours of content.
Really the only thing keeping this game from a full 10/10 is the lack of co-op in the main story mode and the feeling of wanting more weapons/signatures. It also wouldn't hurt if they would put out some worth while dlc's as i really wish there was another story and island to go to.
In the end this is the best game available at the time of this review or atleast best fps.
this game is alright, the story line is good and i keep hearing that people get scared of the jungle after playing this game, are you kidding me, ITS A VIDEO GAME its not ment to scare you, if you want to get scaared play doom 3, you will wet your pants and the bed or chair you sitting on. doom is funnny, brutal and scary but overall i do like far cry 3 and doom 3.
