Besides constant frame rate drops and a few bugs this game is one of the best single player games I've ever played. Multiplayer lacks heavily though and Co-op is repetitive and becomes a chore midway through the second mission.

Never played Farcry series before so thought it was just a shooter. Not so has a good story and free roam is always a plus especially when planning your attack on a base.
Bad parts are was not thrilled with weapons to start but you get used to them and then can get better later on. Base attacks were a little repetitious but still fun. I did get tired of having critters attack me when stalking a base. Those are just my preferences.
DO NOT READ FARTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED SOME SPOILERS.
These are the parts that really bugged me.
Two major Boss battles and not realy battles just button mashing dream style stuff. Very unsatisfying.
Two endings both real let down. Won't say endings but I at least was unsatisfied. Great game but would not keep.
I would've given this game a 9 or 10 but for the toughness factor. And I don't mind playing games tough but I always play every game through first on the standard setting.
This was an open world format which is always fun. Do what you want when you want and when you're ready. And of course the favored story of some weak/passive protagonist slowly evolving to being able to kick some hardcore hind parts.
Pros: Concept great. Animation worked for it. Liked how the idea of towers to unlock parts of the map was not over done like in some other games. Hunting: super fun but tough without the right equipment. Liberating camps was both the same and different every time. Fun to just tackle those with the mentality of doing it a different way each time or with a different weapon. Once I even let a tiger do all the dirty work for me and then shot it for its hide. The bad guys are really bad guys and you don't mind killing them. There is plenty to do so you can switch it up when you get bored of missions or liberating or searching for items. Oh and practically unlimited health. You can keep healing yourself without a syringe it's just not as effective so you have to do it more frequently.
Cons: Not a whole lot for the cons but some major downsides for me subjectively. The bow. was…..not even a bow. I think a bb gun had more distance. And there was not even a trade off like it was super-devastating in damage. No. I started to get good with it but finally went with the silenced sniper. And I hate going sniper but it was the only other low-key option I had. Also there were parts of the missions mainly during boss fights that got too hard too quickly and even when they entered the dream-like states there were a couple that had me almost throwing my controller. And sometimes glitches would screw me out of a half hour of work.
Overall decent game. But the cons kept it at an 8. The bow is honestly the unforgivable one for me. Why even have it?
