This game provides the truest definition of an open world game. Some games give you restricted access to certain parts of the map until you make so much progress in the main story line. This game lets you go where you want when you want.
My favorite part of the game is taking over the outposts. With the open end aspect you can position yourself on the high ground to get the best vantage point and gather intel before you attack. This lets you pick your strategy and plan ahead instead of just walking into a hail of bullets.
The crafting and hunting mechanics are deep enough to be engaging yet simple enough not to be frustrating. You can collect a variety of plants to creat syringes ranging from simple health restoration to increased accuracy and the ability to sense animal life for some distance. The hunting aspect provides an engaging way to increase the amount of stuff you can carry. To increase the amount of ammo or grenades or loot you can carry you have to hunt and skin a specific animal a few times. While the initial increases are passive animals to craft the larger sacks you have to hunt the animals that hunt you back. To max out your personal carrying capacity you have to hunt special animals that are only available through missions provides to you after you secure an outpost. While optional, the hunting aspect of the game provides an impressive motivation to explore the world.
With its massive scale and large amount of collectibles this game will keep you entertained for hours. I did run into a few small glitches with my weapons but the recent patch corrected those issues. Some COD players might not like the open world structure, however if you like entertaining characters, intense gameplay, impressive visuals and getting the chance to hunt bears, leopards, and freaking tigers then you will enjoy this game.

I really didn't think I'd like this game, but it grew on me quickly. A world to explore, with weapons, things to blow up, and, shoot. I got to the "payback" mission, no weapons, no way to kill enemies etc. Ubisoft is aware of the glitch, but that's where the game ended for me. A really nice game to own whenever they get the bugs fixed.
