This game is so much fun, and I really like the design and layout. The storyline is good to follow. And the controls are nice. I like the crafting options they give you and the limitless area's you can go.
My only real complaint is that when you are driving a vehicle you slide all over the place and they are very hard to control it seems like.
Other than that great game, and recommend giving it a try.
Many long hours exploring and completing tasks. For other reasons, returned it to Gamefly with tons of stuff still to do. None-the-less I felt like I got more than I expected from all the missions, side missions and treasure hunts. Definately woth it!

Far Cry 3 was one of those games where at the first instance of hearing about it I wasn't all that interested. I thought it would be another shooting trying so hard to impress at every turn and going beyond reality to try to make that happen.
I was so wrong. Far Cry 3 did impress me at every turn, with its fantastic gameplay, story and characters. I was literally thrown into a beautiful world I knew nothing of and didn't stop playing it until I won.
Not only was this game fun, it was gorgeous. The scenery was beautiful and the lighting was utterly fantastic. I could not stop drooling over this game. There were some graphic faults here in there, (floating rocks and other objects and details not loading) but they hardly ever happened.
The gameplay was far from a cheesy attempt to make a shooter. With goals such at liberating an outpost or hunting a specific type of animal, the game always kept you playing. Each outpost needed a quick scan and a well thought out plan before you went running in guns blazing.
With had a wonderful level up system with perks you could actually use to your play style. On top of that it had loads of customizable weapons from an RPG to a Recurve bow.
The story was wonderfully written, built with a superb cast of characters. Each one had their own unique personality. In my opinion though, the main character could have had a stronger personality but it makes up for it by how realistic he is, after he himself was thrown into a world unknown.
Overall the game was fantastic. Easily one of my favorites.
