Wow, this game exceeded ALL of my expectations, and I am so happy that I rented this game. It is a MUST rent. Put it in your queue right now.
For one, this game is superbly scripted and acted out. I couldn't wait to get through the campaign just to see what new plot line would develop and to watch the brilliant performances from the actors. I was on the edge of my seat. Michael Mando who voices the character of Vaas is beyond genius with his interpretation of the antagonist. I have yet to find a more charming and dangerous enemy in a video game.
The gameplay to this title keeps you coming back for more and more, I just couldn't put my controller down. From the numerous weapons, stealth attacks, extreme vehicles and methods of transportation about the islands kept me interested for days on end. You can literally scale every square inch of the islands, and getting there is the best part.
The amount of campaign, side missions, animal hunts and leveling up are almost endless. Each activity that you perform leads Jason Brody closer and closer to insanity himself as he searches for his kidnapped friends and family amidst a picturesque tropical setting that Dead Island wishes it had.
The only drawback for me was the online multiplayer. You need to have an online pass from Ubisoft, otherwise you can't level pass 15 and reap the rewards. Not only that, players tend to not stay in the game very long if someone dies off. And completing some of the later stages (there are 6) is almost impossible to do without 4 people, and to find 3 others to stay until the end is a nightmare.
Achievements are fun in this game and quite attainable, save for the 6 online cheevs. But a respectable 880 GS to add to your tag on your own, and bloody fun to get there.
one of if not the best game of 2013 you are a kid named jason brody who him his friends and 2 brothers are trapped on an island with crazy warlords and natives wih an everlasting map and great graphics and phenominal shooting it is a must play game
