Far Cry 3 for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

Aside from the small gripes like screen tears, pop up, frame rate drops, some save issues, and some seldom appearance of wonky AI, Far Cry 3 is most likely the best adventure game I have ever experienced. What we were waiting for since the beginning of this generation of consoles has finally appeared in the form of this wonderful adaptation of basically every element of hardcore games you can imagine. There is First person shooter mechanics, role playing mechanics, platforming, leveling up, vast exploration, puzzle solving, and choice. It's all brought together in a world that makes sense bringing all those elements together with classic video game storytelling and blockbuster movie action. It brought so many memories of the types of exploring I felt when Mario64 and Zelda64 were relevant and provided such expansive landscapes with and almost limitless scope of exploration. That was then and this is now and with that said, FarCry 3 has finally upped the bar in what a video game can accomplish. Graphics are simply amazing at portraying your character in the world. The physics and animations also provide so much realism its astounding. The vistas are incredible and scope of the world is actually very intimidating. Sound is superb. AI is very smart and makes very for extremely fun and difficult situations although sometimes the AI can get somewhat wonky. The story also works extremely well to incorporate all the different attributes and systems that the developers let you explore in this world. Replay ability is definitely worth $60 bones. In summation, you must play this game. Definitely worth every minute.
