I was supposed to recieve this game from GameFly but ten days after they were supposed to have shipped and it never arrived I sent in a lost game form and went and rented it, it was not at all what people were making it out to be it's fun, funny, and a all around good game yeah the graphics are not that great but I wouldn't compare them to ps2 it's like a step up from walking dead if you've played that it's def worth putting in your gameQ and you will be entertained, so even though some people don't like it dosen't you wont! I give this game a 8/10 for the fun and entertanment!

As someone who watches Family Guy, I thought this game would be interesting and entertaining. Unfortunately, it is the opposite of what I had hoped.

The graphics are terrible...its like the game was developed by an animator who just graduating from Devry. It felt like it was made for the PS2. The sound in this game is also horrendous. For example, when trying to interact with a character and listen to the instructions they provide, the voices and noises in the background often overlap. If it were not for the captioning, one would have difficulty understanding the objective they are supposed to achieve.

Fans may appreciate some of the one liners found in various Family Guy shows, but they become repetitive and annoying. With a game like this, as a Family Guy fan I hoped newer material was created strictly for this game. The controls take some getting used to and the movement often feels jagged and rough. The layout of the game seems like a maze with little free reign. And I couldn’t count the many times I felt backed into a corner and zapping the characters charging me. Because of the controls, victory wasn’t mine at all.

Now to be fair, I didn't play past the fraternity level so I have no idea if the game improves at all, but all it took was playing that level to feel as if I was wasting my time; therefore I didn't finish the game and returned it to gamefly the next day.

Despite my opinion of the game, no doubt loyal fans of Family Guy may ride it through to its climax (giggity). And who knows, perhaps the game shall improve much more significantly than the amount that I briefly played and experienced. To me, it was as if they rushed to finish this game so they could release it before Christmas.

The best thing one can suggest is for one to rent it for themselves and come to their own conclusions. But if you're like me, renting a game that makes me feel like the time I invested into playing it was a complete and total waste truly grinds

The graphics for this title where very similar to playstation 2 graphics. I was expecting much more from this game, the characters run around spouting rehashed tired voice clips from the television show with no originality. The story itself is nowhere near on a level with an episode of Family Guy.The controls were at best awkward and clunky. There is noway to change the view you are stuck about half a mile behind the character you are playing. At best this is a second rate peck and hunt collectibles game at worst it is a pitiful attempt to make a quick buck off the fame of the show so buyer beware of this horrible game.

Man, what can you possibly say about this game except what a waste of a perfectly serviceable group of mass-produced Blu-Ray disc.

I gave this game a try, I really did. But terrible controls, erratic aiming, and last-generation wonky graphics go hand-in-hand with lame sight gags, jokes that oftentimes are hard to hear for one reason or another, or simply overlap with background dialogue. Oh, and the characters saying the same freakin' things over and over again, especially in situations where the saying doesn't actually even pertain to the situation. So, yeah, I get it. Victory is yours or whatever. Thanks for telling me that for the seven hundredth time for no reason whatsoever.

I remember seeing ads for this a few years ago for the PS2, so it's rather obvious that they decided the best thing to do was to try and make a great game with next-gen tech and...oh, wait, sorry. No they didn't. They apparently just took whatever quarter-finished game they made for the PS2 and tossed it on the PS3 because, hey, who cares, it's "Family Guy!" Someone said McFarlane's rolling in his grave over this travesty, which is unlikely because one, he's not dead, and two, he's too busy laughing it up with his money manager or accountant or whoever covers his finances to even care if this game is good or not. And it ain't.

I think the most harrowing thing of all is that somewhere, out in this vast world of ours, this game is someone's favorite game of all time. And that gives me the sads.

So, in what was completely unexpected... this game was actually good. Even a bit more than good.

First and most important, this game feels exactly like the show. Something most licensed games are terrible at. But from start to finish, this game hits the mark, and that means a lot.

The story is short, but their are collectables and it certainly need to be longer.
Co-Op is great, but it gets crazy difficult. Luckily, there's infinite lives.
This is a arcade game, the classic kind. It's a great experience. No online co-op. No complaining! Not enough games provide a good local multiplayer.

The actual multiplayer is pretty cool too. Reminds me of that N64 era of multiplayer. Good stuff.

So, the game's a bit nostalgic. And you probably have to obviously be a fan of the show to appreciate a lot of the nuances of the game.

Graphic wise, it's probably what you'd expect, but it gets the job done pretty well. Some of the outlines are bit too thick, and it may not always look super smooth. But it's good enough.

The fact is, the game wasn't supposed to be good and it was. Don't pass it up just to write it off as another failed licensed game, because I assure you, that it is not.

Note: GameFly it for sure, it's a perfect rental. Buy it? Maybe not...

I am not an avid gamer nor a huge Family Guy fan, but I love this game! It is a third person shooter, and so much fun. There are not too many games that my husband will play with me, but this is one! I love it because it is cartoony and he loves the shooting. I like 3rd person shooters, but games like MW3 and Black Ops are just too must for me. This is perfect and sooo much fun. The only downfall is that coop mode splits the screen instead of letting you play together on the main screen, but its not that annoying. SOO MUCH FUN but definately rated mature. It follows in Family Guy tradition and is very politically incorrect.

Can you give anything less than a one? This game is utter c.r.a.p. The graphics are terrible. The game play is terrible. Even the cut scenes, which were clips from actual Family Guy footage, look terrible. I was hoping for a better looking game than the last one, I was sorely disappointed. Seth McFarlane is rolling in his grave.

Pros of this games:
-the graphics of this game are great, but not perfect. But come on how good can they be for an animated show.
-the campaign is rather short, really fun and can be really challenging
-the final battle is really epic and has really epic music.
-the multiplayer and challenge modes are really fun.
-multiple players to play as, and each character has their own unique arsenal.
-MOST IMPORTANT: THIS GAME IS FREAKIN HILARIOUS!

CONS of this game:
-the controls are really different from the other shooter games

That is really all of the negatives for this game.

The game was a fun ride! simple single player experience. Almost identical to its PS2 counterpart. All 10 levels have simple objectives with a few secondary objectives sprinkled in along with its trademark Family Guy jokes, quotes and mishaps. Single player is super short (about 6 hour game-play) with no online multiplayer. Which is odd considering this day and age, this game would have been much more fun having a competitive and cooperative gameplay. Multiplayer is strictly local play and not much variety. Simple deathmatch, capture the flag, and a horde mode-like challenge. If your a fan of Family Guy, then its worth a rent, but not a purchase

Graphics I would say isn't the greatest, but in someway it works for itself. Considering this is a family guy game I hope people woudln't set high standard like its going to be anything different from the previous family game on the psp. It had a fun storyline to play, multiplayer action was really good. I liked the gameplay myself, and the extra stuff it came with. I thought it is a good and fun challenge for once instead of everything being sooooo easily beat. Though what I wish was the game would have more to it. I mean the story line. I felt it was short and quick. I just wanted more. I love playing as brain and stewie! This game under family guy standards gets a ten, but as out in a whole in this wide world I would say 7 to 8. Depending also how much of a family guy nerd you are. I am. But trying to be fair. Thank you for reading.

I have been an avid fan of Family Guy since it first came out and have several seasons on DVDs, needless to say I was excited for this game to come out, especially with it's M rating.

It let me down. Graphics and dialogue aside (which were bad), the overall levels and story could not be more pointless. Did MacFarlane even look at this game before it came out? It's so monotonous that I only got to the 2nd half of the Amish level and turned it off.

I just hope the South Park game, if it ever comes out, will be more of a Mario style level game and not the same thing over and over again.

Skip this one, even if you are a hardcore FG fan like myself.

This game was fun the first two levels. but come on! Every single level is the same exact thing. Sooooo boring after a while. i got to level 3 and returned it as quickly as i could. Its like pac man. the levels are the same they just get harder each time. Crapy graphics, poor sound editing, not to mention theres barley any new lines in the game. everything is taken from tv episodes. overall big big big dissapointment. I will purposely rate this game a 1 to drop the overall score. but i think it really deseres a 2.

But what's up with the multiplayer? In my opinoin, this game would have been a lot better had you been given the ability to play multiplayer online with other people.

Extremely fun for any FG fan with new and old gags, however loading seems a bit long for style of game. Also certain game modes must be done with a partner which may limit some people or cause them too skip entirely. Such as mulitiverse madness. Suggest all fans to rent and those who want to shoot but COD is too fast.
