Rented this game because of my extremely fond memories of playing it on the original Xbox, it has always been my favorite of the entire series, just bringing up little chicken chaser, doing epic quests and watching him actually grow into a larger than life hero. Really cool dynamic.
So I play games with the y-axis inverted, like I would say about 1/3rd of gamers I know do. We're a weird bunch, but we exist. Well for whatever reason, when you invert the sticks with this game, it inverts BOTH the y and x axis. Meaning down is up and up is down, which is all good, but also left is right and right is left, which is a HUGE bum out. Tried my best to push through it but ultimately sent the game back largely unplayed because of this. So fair warning to any fellow inverted-y players, unless you can handle playing inverted-x or just playing it "normal", I'd avoid the rental.
Beyond that, what I played of the game was clean and fun and very much like the original I loved and remembered.

boss battles are difficult and unfair and the game itself is repetitive the way you have to do things and quests over and over again just to get the experience you need to survive the boss fights and you cant reuse experience points to tryout different skills you are stuck with the ones you pick until you get more exp. points and the game freezes up randomly so then you have to restart the game.
