I do not understand where all the good reviews are coming from. I played the first game, fell in love with it, and was super hyped up to get this one, they always release on my b day which was a plus so i bought it, got the game guide for it, and wish i didnt, i had no use for it, the story line was interesting for the first few hours and i mean like 2-3 hours, when you max out your character they look horrible, like the trolls your killing, their are a very limited amount of enemys, no original bosses, and no suprises in it, the original fable was amazing it kept you guessing till the end. the enemys were amazing, and it made you want to keep playing, now a days games like the first fable are underplayed for the cheap simple games, i liked fable because it made you think on some stuff but kept it reletivly simple, the story line was engaging, you really wanted revenge for your character, the magic was amazing, and dont get me started on fable 2's magic and weapon system, it litterally doesnt feel like its a game past fable 1 it feels like it was made before it, just because it barely has new graphics doesnt make it better, as a fan of the first one, and a devoted player to the series and a good gamer this game was an all around let down sadly enough, fable 3 started to get it but it still doesnt have enough lore and magic for it to be a FABLE game,
alright game, story line is poor, you find yourself skipping all the conversation sceens because they ramble on and on about pointless information. Magic is broken, learn inferno and time stop and nothing will be able to hit you and you can 1 shot everything. They could have made this game alot better but due to a game ending glitch, poor story, and broken combat this game gets a 1 and sadly I hear fable 3 is even full of more glitches, sigh......
I had to give Fable 2 a "1" or "horrible" rating as it would never get past a point early in the game. I tried multiple times with multiple settings and it always freezes at the entrance to the castle with my character able to run in a little circle between three visible non-player characters but nothing else works. No dialog occurs. Pressing the Start button brings up the A logo but not the rest of the pause box. I have to shut down to get out of it. I did try it with the update. I also cleared the cache and tried it without the update. I also tried turning the online orb feature off. Nothing worked.
This is similar to my problem on my original XBox with Fable 1, which would simply never load and was thus unplayable. I no longer trust Lionhead to produce a playable game.
