In a word, this game is awful. It is shocking to me that the AI could possibly be this bad for any game on the current console generation. If you are expecting any help whatsoever from your computer controlled comrades, you are simply S.O.L. I often found myself losing my mind because they will usually run away from the ball; and when attempting to switch players, it will almost never switch you to the player you wish to control.

The difficulty of this game is also off. Setting a lower difficulty will make the opposing goalies worse, but the defenders are almost impossible to get by without them stealing the ball.

This game is good if you want 1000 gamerscore in one day. otherwise, steer clear

I played the other 2006 FIFA game and it was ok. You could mount a decent offensive strategy and get a decent feeling of accomplishment when you finally got a goal. This game is the exact opposite. It is total rubbish. Even on the easiest difficulty, it is almost impossible to mount an offensive play. The opposition seems to always be in the way of any of the structured pass types. When you do get a chance to shoot, shots taken at point blank range seem to always fall just wide or hit the goal post. I thought I might be able to stick it out long enough to get 750 out of this game, but it's going back at 450. I simply have run out of patience with this horrible representation of a sport that I'm not very fond of in the first place.
