F.E.A.R. First Encounter Assault Recon for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

With the choices of potentially great games on the horizon, this was a tough choice to pick up.

Single Player: The single player is very fun. Meant to be played in a dark room with loud surround sound. It really keeps you on your toes and forces you to use the "slo-mo" mode to keep up with the amount of enemies that can attack you at any given moment.
The story is self I haven't found to be so riveting. Most of it being told by messages left on answering machines. But honestly, who cares? Its still great fun.

Multiplayer: This is one of the smoothest games i've ever played on Xbox Live. I saw not one single frame of lag in five total matches online. Some of the online MP staples are present, such as CTF and Team Death match. On the downside, when a match is over you get sent back to the online menu. There is no post game lobby. WHY?

Graphics: Truley Nex-Gen. Although some of the close ups you get of character models aren't very good. The textures are nice and the level design is nice for this type of game (hallway wars). Obviously its always pretty dark. I experienced no frame rate issues what so ever, no matter what was going on.

Sound: Some of the best i've heard. The background sounds will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

Closing: This game is a pleasant surprise for me. I was planning on returning this next week for some of those coming big titles, Its a keeper.

For starter's, this game at times WILL scare you and keep you on your toes and keep your interested throughout the whole campaign. Online is real fun not much lag at all, if any good graphics. You must rent this game if you liked condemned or any other horror game. If you get scared easily then the campaign part of the game is not for you.
