I've played better shooters but it's pretty rare to find a game that can bring about an element of fear the way a good horror movie can; FEAR 2 delivers. It is a clunky shooter but not so bad it gets in the way of the game. The game is gorgeous. The story and visuals feel like one of the recent Japanese adapted horror flicks. Rent it, turn out the all the lights and be afraid.

Having only played about half-way through the game, my perspective on it is extremely positive so far. Maintaining the same jump scares from the first in the series, F.E.A.R. 2 is a pretty engaging, standard-fare shooter with enough graphic and control tweaks to make it a worthy successor.
Ignoring the plots set forth from the F.E.A.R. Files expansion, this installment puts you in the shoes of Beckett, a member of the the very same Delta Squad in the first game; however a different detachment.
Without getting too specific, the scares are good, the action is awesome, and there's even some mech-action thrown in for a little explosive kick.
+Expect the same thrills from the first game, except in better packaging. +The new control scheme is a good fit IMO. +Alma is awesome!
-There's a grain filter in effect the whole time. Would have been nice if there was an option to turn it on/off. -If you're looking for a lot of mech fun, keep looking. These segments are fun, but brief.
An awesome game for fans new and old, though I recommend a F.E.A.R. play-through crash course to really get enveloped in the world of Alma.
I would definetly have to say that Project Origin is way better than the first F.E.A.R. better graphics, better mechanics, and even the little eerie, spooky, jump out and make you %&!# your pants parts are way better.I would have to say that the story is the best part of all the F.E.A.R.'s,its very in depth and is just one of those stories that keeps you hooked and wants to know what happens next. But the multi-player is pretty much your same old cliche FPS multi-player,which isnt really that bad,but with it being F.E.A.R. and all there coulda been a little more effort in the multi-player. Also though one thing that I know isnt a big deal for some people, but others know what im talkin bout, like when the smallest details in the game make a very big outlook on it, I just dont like that the blood decides to disappear when there is too much of it on the screen, doesnt effect the gameplay any but i love blood and i hate that it disappears, but anywho, im givin this game 9 woulda been a ten if the multiplayer caught my eye a bit but it sadly didnt.
