Given how many early ps2 games were horrible, I found this RPG game a nice alternative. Is it cutting edge graphics? Of course not. But if you are looking for an early game with a very basic story and wanting something a bit entertaining then it is worth checking out.
I've never played a game, that even slightly plays like Evergrace does. Although the music is alright, the voice-actors definitely are anything but.
So, basically you go back and forth between being a male and a female character, and you quickly progress and beat the game. Easy as that. You find out little about either of the characters, and the plot is anything interesting. It's easy, with a simple hack-and-slash battle system.
The best thing is the music. Most definitely. I would recommend this game to someone who has too much time on their hands.
Evergrace has an okay story (although it is very short), with weak voice acting. The smoothness and general uniqueness of the gameplay saves it, as does the talent the creators had for keeping you playing just to see the next thing that happens. It's a good title if you're looking for something a child could play, as it is relatively simple, save a few puzzles, but for a more adult audience it may bore a bit.
