The big flaw in this game is the C-quality storyline and cutscenes. The story really was not that interesting despite trying to go outside of the box using Chopin as a playable character. The characters are easily pigeon-holed into archetypal characters anyone that has played RPGs could recognize.
The battle system is not bad, though at the end the concept of moving the standard buttons to control your characters in battle is beyond lame. Some of the boss battles can be difficult if you have underleveled, which is possible in the PS3 version since the xp awarded was significantly cut from the Xbox version.
Bandai really needs to hire some quality writers. The visual quality of the games themselves are quite nice, but they keep being 1-2 levels below the quality of a Final Fantasy because of their cookie-cutter stories lines (i.e. Tales series).
this game is awesome i cant believe how good it is i used to be all about final fantasy and kingdom hearts but after this im amazed the game looks beautiful the story line is good it may be hard and confusing but the game is awesome

i have only played the demo version of this game and it seems like a really fun RPG. it's looks like the ps3 has finally came out w/ a good rpg. the graphics are a little different from final fantasy graphics but they are still good graphics. it looks great on the HDTV. the battle mode seems like it is really fun. according to other reveiws i read the story line is pretty good too. so if you are someone waiting on Final fantasy 13 to come out and really bad wanting to play a RPG w/ good graphics and a fun battle mode. this game will be a good warm up game for you before final fantasy 13 makes it's release. like others said if u r a rpg fan i suggest to rent or buy this game. i cant wait for the game to come into the mail so i can play the full version.
