Having played the demo off the PSN network last year, I was excited to play the game once it was released. Although I've never played the 360 version, I've come to understand this version ends up being more challenging, especially on New Game+ mode.
The combat system is by far the most intriguing part of the game for me along with the way dark and light magic works. Essentially, moving inside a shadow will toggle to your dark spell and if moved inside a lighted area, you'll be set to a light spell.
The combat tutorial was rather lacking I thought. If you didn't read the manual (I didn't have access to one) you probably wouldn't know how to do some things that you may of wanted access to earlier in the game. Before it teaches it to you.
I wanted to keep this review fairly short. I'll end it by saying that the story was very fun to follow. The dream world around you is just gorgeous. The English voices were atrocious though, I had to set them to Japanese soon after I heard most. After that it was smooth sailing.
You won't be disappointed in renting this game if you enjoy a fun RPG. Even if you don't, you may like this game due to the combat system!

overall a great game to play and have fun with until they come out with final fantasy XIII. I did need a couple guides but they werent all that necessary. dont expect an outstanding storyline its good but the dialogue is something less to be desired. It def makes up for clever gameplay/tactics and the music isnt too bad either. If RPGs is your thing a def must play.
Very good RPG. Graphics are good. Story is good, even though it might become a little bit predictable at times. Combat mode is good, and it is very easily to level up, you don't have to play countless hours to reach higher levels. Fights are easy to play, and there aren't too many buttons to press.
