Eternal Sonata for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

I'm a little surprised at the average rating for this game. I thought Eternal Sonata satisfied every expectation I had of it. It was a unique play with beautiful scenery and equally beautiful music. I loved the battle system though it took me some time to get accustomed to. I enjoyed the characters though I felt some of them didn't get much development as there were to many characters in the game to focus on each individually. The story was I will say though eloquent was a bit difficult to follow. It all seems to revolve around the meaning of life and at times I felt a little lost. However the game always managed to pull me back thankfully. Truly the only big problem I had with this game was the lack of bonuses for new game plus. Not all games follow the standers of Final Fantasy unfortunately. Still the game was spectacular, and I felt it was a big relief to play a JRPG that didn't go heavy on the fan servicing.

At first, I wasn't so sure of this one. I'm not a big RPG fan, but this game quickly drew me in. The story follows Chopin's dreams before he dies. The game also teaches you about some of Chopin's pieces, and make them included somehow in the game. The characters in this game are very interesting, and there is a lot of diversity. They give you a lot of party members to choose from so if you don't like one, you don't have to play with them. Also, the landscape in this game is just beautiful, it's very colorful and just feels very dreamlike. I'm 27 hours in and still haven't beaten it yet, so if you like long games, this one is definitely one you should check out. The storyline is really interesting as well, as it's about a corrupt king and about 2 countries being on the brink of war. All in all, this game is very fun, even if you aren't a fan of RPGs. I highly recommend you at least give this game a try.
