Game plays like typical rush-to-market-video- game- before- the- film- even- comes- out kind of movie-paired video game.
Gameplay becomes frustrating during first mission after training, when enemies are attacking you with predictable, "yesterday-gen" (versus "next-gen") type rythmic attack moves that look like they're out of a PS2 title from 5 years ago. Graphics are on par with typical low-end Xbox 360 titles, nothing revolutionary or exceptional like current top-tier 360 titles. (nothing like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion which is top notch- that game is mentioned only because it is somewhat in this genre, although a true RPG- where Eragon is not. I'm a big fan of the 360 by the way, not knocking that, just Eragon's poor use of 360 potentialities.)
Unless you're a freak for this particular book series or movie (in which case you'll probably still be disappointed- maybe more so...) or you are under 16 years old and have to have ALL video games regardless- skip this one. There are much better games to spend your time enjoying.
