I remember getting Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion back when it came out, I had never played an Elder Scrolls game before, but as a big fantasy fan, I figured I had to try it. I instantly fell in love with the game. I became wrapped in the Elder Scrolls, getting Morrowind and absorbing myself into the lore and so on. So when Skyrim was coming out, I knew I had to get it.
I bought Skyrim the day it came out after waiting anxiously the whole year, and it payed off to no end. Over a week after owning it, and im STILL wrapping my head around what I should do next. This game is so involved and immersive, there is so much time that Bethesda put into this game, giving us endless content to play with, some out in the open like all the Guilds, and some somewhat hidden away, like all the hundreds of side-quests.
Now graphics aren't everything, but it sure does put the icing on the cake to have such insanely beautiful graphics and landscape to wrap it all up with. Oblivion had fairly repetitive landscapes, but Skyrim left that all behind and created a fantastic world, with different looking regions ranging from dense forests to open tundra, to harrowing snow mountains with a blizzard swarming you.
Character designs look fantastic, and the wide range of voice actors is very appreciated. The gameplay flows very well, and the skill system no longer restricts you to a single class; you are now able to just BE whatever you want to be whenever you feel like it.
Overall this game not only delivered and failed to dissapoint, but it went above and beyond what I was expecting. I thank and congratulate Bethesda for spending so much time crafting a wonderful game, that should win Game of the Year in my honest (not biased) opinion.
Now if you'll excuse me, im going to go play more Skyirm.
Skyrim has to be one of the best games i have ever played, right next to battlefield 3. Skyrim is the best first person/ third person RPG that i have ever played. if you are a fan of making your own story line or just a fan of rpg's than i highly recomend this game.(sry for any spelling mistakes)
