We should all know by now that a good game is not all graphics. Or else we would not have our 64-bit faves, right? Well, this game took me back to the feel of playing a great arcade game. It's cheesy but yet blasting bugs feels like the most important mission ever. It was a blast!! Do not go into this game seriously. Be prepared to laugh at lame dialogue and survive some seriously absurd situations in your scanty soldier attire. Green gooey bug blood will not slow down the EDF soldiers. Check this game out if you have a special spot in your gamer heart for the oldies but goodies!

Unlike the majority of gamers, I found this game to be the most addictive shooter ever! I have no complaints about the graphics, framerate, dialog, scoring or characters. It's just great shoot'em up, blow'em up fun at a bargain price. It's totally enjoyable and frankly, it's unmatched for those of us who enjoy blasting enemies and destroying stuff. And you can't tell me that the resulting explosion when you down one of those robots is anything short of awesome! Granted, there's no story to speak of and the levels are repetitive (although they are, in general, progressively more difficult) and the only strategizing required is simply to select the appropriate weaponry for each level (because if you don't, you're a dead duck!). So if you like mindless mayhem, continuous action, rifles, shotguns, missiles, rockets, bombs and grenades, get this game. It's loads of fun! I wish more Japanese games like this were released. I'd love to see an updated remake of this title incorporating today's (2010) technology, but, alas, judging from the overwhelming amount of poor reviews this one has, there's no chance. Like I say, different strokes for different folks!
