This is a very fun game. My friend and I love this game the graphics are great and the fights are beast!!!! Easports made an exellent game. Also the carrer mode is fun and long lasting. I bought this game and play online a lot. The competion is fierce. It is hard to advance belts though. This game is very fun but you should try before you buy.
EA MMA is a solid title. The inevitable comparison between EA MMA and UFC Undisputed 2010 will happen, and in my opinion, this title triumphs. Read on to learn why.
First things first, the UFC lineup is obviously better. EA does its best to try and give players a solid lineup, but ultimately it falls short because the brand recognition of the UFC is much greater than Strikeforce. Strikeforce is the minor leagues compared to UFC. Players do get to experience fighters such as, Fedor, Bob Sapp, Alister Overeem, Couture, Ken Shamrock, Jake Shields, and some more. So overall, the title has a pretty solid lineup.
Graphically the game does fine, but when compared to UFC, I believe it's not as pretty.
Gameplay is where the title out does UFC. When playing a sports game, all that matters is if it's fun. EA MMA is more fun in my opinion. UFC career mode would get very frustrating when I got to the championship fight, and the champion would become nearly impossible to beat. Submissions are something I never quite grasped in that game as well. Now I haven't experienced the championship fights yet in career for EA, but the game just seems much better balanced in terms of challenge. Submissions I was able to understand rather quickly. The tutorial in EA is great.
The game does have it's flaws. The career mode is like a bare bones mode.
I wish EA and UFC could come together and make a game, but it probably won't happen. THQ games pail in comparison to EA games. Oh well, here's to hoping. The game is definitely worth a rent, I wouldn't recommend a buy.
