I read the label on the sleeve for the game and when it said that I was being granted a 9 Day trial to play the game, I immediately sealed it up and sent it back to Game Fly.
A console game that wants you to pay a subscription after the initial down payment is "ret-rded". I flat out refuse to get behind this franchise. If EA wants my money, keep it strictly to add-on DLC content and make that content worth paying for.
I will not pay a fee to play a game I own. That's why I don't play World of War Craft and that's why I won't play this pile of crapola either.

I liked this game. Controls were smooth and intuitive, the skill level upgrades are attainable and training is the tool it should be. If you're really needing the UFC license and names, they aren't here but headliners Randy Couture and Fedor Emlianenko lead a stable impressive names nonetheless including Fabricio Werdun, Allistair Overeem, Dan Henderson and the Shamrock brothers. Maybe their real life counter parts aren't the main eventers they once were but their video avatars are well programmed. Button mashers won't fare well but the the learning curve isn't too steep for the average gamer and the pay-offs are sweet when you start to pull off special moves, like the superman punch, flying knees and guillotine takedowns. The submission mechanics are also simple yet hard enough to make you feel you've earned every tap out. Other than the slow load times, this game would have been a 9 and a fully licensed game including UFC fighters would rate a 10.
