Dynasty Warriors seven is a lot better than all those strikeforce games and better than the sixth dynasty warrior. Koei changed the story to each of the three kingdoms instead of each individual character which is much better. It tells a overall better story as it tells who actually died and your characters kingdom dosent always win. The story telling was awesome, especially in Shu. Its the same Three Kingdoms story from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms but you get to see what happens after the Three KIngdoms fall with Jin. I might sound like a major geek here but i found myself sad at the end of Shu's story. But lk most games their are flaws here and there. I found some of the graphics at points were very were last-gen and the voice acting for some people (Sun Quan) was just so mono-tone and horrible it was to listen to. And I have a big question where in the name Sima Shi is there an r cuz everytime they would say his name it would sound like Shima Shir the same thing with Chi Bi they added an r to the end. Thats a minor issue but i think it needs to be fixed. The level design was good they re-did some of the levels like chi bi and added more things to do. Conquest mode is an afterthought it give u barely any directions no story but it allows two player so thats the only up-side. Speaking of Two- Player where did it go?!?!?! I enjoyed Free Play were u could do any level with any player WITH A SECOND PLAYER. But other than some small flaws its a great game and hopefully koei will keep on improving
I was a bit skeptical about this game after reading some reviews but decided to try it out anyway. Pretty much this game is just a retextured version of every Dynasty Warriors game that has come before it. However, the story did keep me interested enough to keep playing. For anyone who has played the older games, there is a sense of closure for some of the main characters in the story of the three kingdoms. After the four campaigns were done, however, I just didn't have the strength to play any further, leaving the "Conquest" mode pretty much untouched. I give it a 5 out of 10.
