They managed to turn a classic into a flop

Empire mode is quite possibly the worst thing that could have ever happened to Dynasty Warriors. Now instead of hack and slash like this game was awesome for its now over confusing with strategy that gives you no information how to use, and game play that totally deviates from classic Dynasty Warriors.
Now instead of taking out a general once and for all, they come back multiple times within a battle. And instead of the straight forward eliminate the enemy leader, you have to battle through enemy camps, and if you get to the main camp without a supply line for yourself you cannot finish the level.
Also it doesn't matter if you unlocked every achievement or beat the entire game, if you don't manually save EVERYTHING will be lost. That's right there in no auto save at all.
If you are looking for classic hack and slash this game really falls short, I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone except the die hard, hardcore "I have played EVERY other DW game" fans only.
