Graphically this game is on par, though as mentioned it could have been a bit tighter. The storyline seems pretty strait forward but I am only just beginning the game I assume (hope) it has a bit more flavor later on. I think if you are into D&D this game will not disapoint you, there is a fair amount of strait up D&D in its gameplay at times with very similar pacing as playing with a grp of friends... I did find the menu system a bit frustrating at first but like anything if you stick it out it becomes more tolerable once you've got a good handle on it. I rather like this game and it boasts like 30 hrs of gameplay or something to that effect. I hope the franchise of D&D makes more appearances on the psp and hopefully on xbox360 and ps3 as well. This is coming from someone who still plays pen and paper D&D so I have a long standing interest in all things D&D (even the horrible movies). If you like smashing monsters and getting loot this is as good as similar games and it using the character race and class stats of D&D is a comfortable realm for me, though speaking of the "realms" I would have rather it be set in the "Forgotten Realms" setting.

Enjoy...

Dungeons and dragons tactics is a complicated game. its not bad, but I would only suggest it for people who have played the pen and paper game before. Game can be difficult, and you can't back track missions. the character creation is complicated. Don't get this game if your solely into tactics games because you will just be disappointed. This wasn't a bad game but it just wasn't for me.

This game is probably not going to be that great for anyone who is not a fan of the Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 edition. But if you're a D&D grognard, you will appreciate the depth of options that they have managed to cram into this tiny disc for the PSP. Nearly any feat or combat option you can think of from the core rules is present. If you're looking for a D&D sim that you can take on the go, look no further. If you're more into Tactics Ogre or stuff like that, this may or may not fit your appetite. And if you want a strong story look elsewhere, this game is all about the combat tactics.
