On the whole, a fun grind/SRPG

First off, basic pro's and con's
Pros:
Card-deck building
Card-combining for upgraded ones
Overall ease of play
Use of minigames to enhance the main combat play
RPG feel to upgrading your units
Variety of units you can use.
Non-story levels (Badlands) you can do for more items
'Secret' Crests that you can use for more cards/recipes
'Extra' xp after each fight to give to any units you want.
All units (even non combatant ones) get xp after every fight.
Cons:
Writing. While a bit informative, it's really just bad
A bit of a 'grind' based to keep your units at good levels to handle the game
Overall:
A fun title, Strategy RPG-esque title with an interesting insect-based twist. The story is really pretty bad/campy, but the gameplay is VERY easy to pick up and run with. At least 2 or 3 difficulty settings, and with the Badlands to go through to skill/level up your guys, unless you're playing on the hardest setting, and/or just really bad at playing these types, it shouldn't be unplayable at all. Eventually you get 8 (9 including the mobile 'base' snail) units for every battle and 16 one-shot cards per battle also, giving a good range of things you can do.
Some of the minigames get a touch boring, but it's nice how they're always against the 'AI', in terms of being active. Outside of the rapid-tap one for the melee/gun boost attack cards, all of the others are never quite the same game twice. And it's nice that there's 5 or 6 different games for it.
At times the game gets a little boring from the grind of re-doing some levels for 'unique' upgrades (like the winding key that almost any unit can use), or to just get more cards for combining. And, just leveling up your units can grind a bit.
All in all, if you've got a good strategic mind, and enjoy a good bit of tweaking along with your strategy gameplay, I'd say you should be able to enjoy and do well at this game.
