So far this is the best driving game I played. Comparing to GTA 4, you get to step out of your car and fire weapons on that game. On Driver SF you can't step out of the car but you can jump into another car, taking over the drivers body and do what ever you wish to there car, to driving it off a ramp, getting them into trouble, or use there car to smash into your target, you can even smash there car into other racers in a race.
This game has been challenging. Some stunts on here are really hard, and the final boss battle is hard itself. But enough about stunts lets talk about Cops and Cars.
There are up to 140 cars to pick, from the goofy Volkswagen to the awesome Pagani Zonda Cingue! you can drive many factory cars from GMC C5500 to the 18 wheel Dykemann Haulier SF. The fast you can go is 208 mph & 218mhp going down hill max speed, what I so far recorded. The fastist cars are the Lamborghini & Pagani, I will go with lambrogini because its more adgile (sorry if i misspell) and it cost half the pagani.
For the cops, this is 100% true. they are hard to get away from. they are not as stupid like the ones from driver 1, 2, 3, and 4. They can easly dodge traffic, you got a better chance to get away from them in a fast car if you can dodge traffic yourself. The traffic is challenging to get through. They make it seems like if the cars know where you will end up and happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. LOL But if you about to be busted in the free rome area you can least hop out of the car and and take over another car far far away.
If your a awesome driver and looking for something challenging I would pick this game. Its a awesome challenging game for thoes who want some hard driving action in a sandbox.
If you’re looking for a a good action base racing type style game, please take Driver San Francisco for a ride. As a strong fan of the series “Driver”, it is fare to say it’s been long overdue since its last appearance. Revamp with awesome game play ability and cool ps3 graphics, not to mention a huge playable map to boast, Driver really hit the nail on a head…..though the game could have easily grabbed a perfect 10, the cheesy dialogue and constant recaps, proved repetitive. None the less n my book 8.5…..
And by Meh, I mean it was just ok. I was honestly looking forward to this title for a bit. When I finally got the game going I wasn't WOWed like i thought I would be. The whole "switching" from person to person anywhere on the map kind of messed up the flow of the game. Also I dont know if it was because I had just turned in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit back to GF but the vehicle controls in Driver SF seemed a bit sluggish and much more complicated to control. Defintely not a BUY worthy game but it wont hurt to rent.
As for me, I got it today and returning it tomorrow. SOrry thats just the way it is.
