This game has one major flaw and that is the fighting system. All characters feel similar and the battles just get boring. If i wanted to watch the characters fight each other i would have Computer vs computer.

This game sucks so much you don't know how much it is a wast of you time this game is more worst than dragon ball z for Kinect you press a button and you get confused I tried it it suck super and I mean super sucks a game that goes blank on the screen is more entertaining than this

Worst DBZ Game Yet

And I've played some bad ones. This stupid game is a mishmash of fights that take 85 years to complete (rough estimate), are entirely repetive, and essentially consist of dueling terrible mini-games. The barest minimum of skill is required, and the length of the battles makes the tedium of going through the story mode to unlock things pure torture.

Battles are slow to boot, and especially terrible when in 'Melee Range'. When in Melee Range there is no dash, making approaching each other an awkward affair, like to middle school kids at the dance that like each other. The kind of dynamic defense present in other DBZ games is reduced to either holding B, or sidestepping.

This game is a bad game, and you'd be better off looking at Burst Limit, or finding the old really good SNES game that never made it to America in any official capacity. This game makes an alright coaster, if you happen to find a copy on the street.

this game is very overrated i wanted to give it a 3 or 4 for creativity but the gameplay sucked and the hero mode was alright but the story sucked and it skipped lots of scenes and transformations. where was adult gohan in all his saiyan forms where was piccolo with his fuse with kami stage where was the homie pikkon. where was super saiyan 4 goku and vegeta and vegeta's super saiyan 2 form. where was pan where was goten and trunks. where was uub etc where were all the fighters that were in tenkaichi 3. id rather play the story mode of budokai 1 because the story actually had meaning and was made with passion where as this was good up until you leave the frieza saga. i got to the android and cell saga and there were a couple loose ends. i get to the world tournament majin buu saga and I didn't want to finish because they skipped so many key scenes from the cartoon. but yup this game trash hopefully they bring back another burst limit or raging blast because i was not bout to drop 60 like i did for burst limit and raging blasts. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE VIEWERS THIS GAME IS FAILED CREATIVITY WITH RUN TO THE CORNER GAMEPLAY AND MASHING OF BUTTONS

This game is the worst DBZ game I have ever played. The fighting is more of an attempt to make a cinematic out of your fight rather than just beat each other senseless. You need to be a certain distance to use you Ki blasts. The fighting in this is so restrained to a 20 ft radius anyone who is looking for a good fighting game pick up soul calibur 4 or 5. Even the story mode was idiotic, one of the most disappointing games I have ever played.

The game is an affront to the name tenkaichi. It should have been called dragon ball z the interactive movie. If I had spent 60 dollars on this I might have gone on a murderous rampage.

not that many characters. they tired to make the game like the show but failed. you can only use a ultimate move when u r about to die or the other person is. Raging blast 2 was cuz of the fighting and the characters. this one could have been better if they put more characters and let fighting how it was.

im a dbz fan and to be disappointed this bad it hurts. what happened to the awesome combo you had to learn? what happened to be able to use all buttons? if you like a fighting game that only uses 2 button X & Y this is the game for you....

the game is basicly on a track, yes u get to choose when u use ur attacks but all the characters are exactly the same,if another person uses a power attack u can not just move out of the way, u get 3 choices, if u have enough energy saved up, u can "intercept"(use ur ability to send it back at half damage), "deflect"(take no damage on either person), "guard"(you take 10% less damage), or if u have no energy saved up, u just take the full hit no mater what, so i give it a 1/100 only nice thing is they take clips of the acual show for most of the cinimatics,....

This game is horrible. Major button smasher.....hit x.....hit it again....one more time....cutscene. there's no skill level required....just have to get lucky on coin toss battles on whether or not to hit X or Y.

This game does not deserve the title Ultimate Tenkaichi.
Barely any characters, gameplay is poor.
Budakai Tenkaichi 3 is the real Ultimate Tenkaichi

First off, this is my first review.

I am a huge fan of the Dragonball franchise but I feel this title was subpar at best compared to other games.

The graphics were amazing, I am not gonna lie, probably the best in any DBZ games I have ever seen. They were rendered beautifully.

Second, the content. I loved how the story mode starts you from the dead beginning of DBZ, and continues up the the complete Buu Saga.

Third, Hero Mode, the ability to create your own DBZ fighter, was something that made me so happy, the story as well as free roam, I was thrilled with.

Now... Your probably wondering, why all this praise, and only a 1 rating.

Like all DBZ games, each one had stimulating combat, beautiful attacks and an amazing combat system where anyone picking up the game could do all sorts of things.

This combat system made me cry, all it consists off is button mashing. Pressing X repetitively will guarantee you victory in 80% of your fights, they have limited energy blasts also, to where even if you charge up max ki, goku cant pull off that kamehameha combo after your melee attack blitz.

They have instead a "spirit bar" which fills as you inflict and take damage, Leaving you with only, 1 maybe 2 attacks. but heres the kicker, you can only use your ulitmate attack when you or your opponent is near death, making it almost useless. if your near death, your opponent can just do a kamehameha or something an win it. and vice versa.

I even tested the shotty combat system, I had a case of diarrhea when I went to play this game, I asked my brother to watch the game, while I button mashed in a whole other room blind to whats happening, I ended up beating the entire frieza fight, without once looking at the screen.

In raging blast 2, you were dodging attacks of all sorts, you could attack from any range, and the character selection was amazing.

For those that play this game, If you value the quality of games that DBZ has had in the past, DO NOT

This entire game just repeats itself. every fight is the exact same. i literally do the same thing for 7 hours funnnn. NOT. game should get a zero not even a 1
