DBZ on PSP actually works.

When I played this game, I was hooked. The fighting is okay except for the occasional spam from the CPU (and humans when playing via Ad-Hoc). The graphics could be better and they could had more characters. The music on it got annoying at times for me though.. But anyway, Still a good game but mainly kept for Multiplayer.

Visuals: Considering it was PSP, 8
Gameplay: 10
Voiceovers: Coulda been better, 7
Music: 5

Total (averaged...): 7.6 actually.

Best Pro: DBZ handheld... all i can really say
Worst Con: Music probably

Good expansion to the portable franchise

If you loved the console versions of budokai you'll love this expansion. It plays like budokai 3 with about the same move slots but some new characters. Many new additions are included and if you love the budokai series you will be delighted with this new expansion to the portable franchise. The only drawback it it gets very repetitive and gets old after you complete everything like many other games. Because of that I gave it a 9 rather than a 10. All in all rent it and enjoy.

Finally A Review That I Can Believe

If you are like me and read reviews for games before actually renting them, and you can't seem to find a review that makes sense, have no fear.

This is another DBZ game by atari with cartoon like, but well detailed, graphics. I personally like DBZ games, this one is no exception. The game is fairly easy to play, the controls are simple /\ E is a finishing move E is a death move. Simple right. The entire game is that simple.

There are many combos you can do, and each hit takes a nice chunk of health out of your opponent. The battle system is not the same as Tenkaichi, but not the same as the other Budokai's either. There are similarites, like the X=Block /\=Kick/Sword (Trunks/Jenemba)[]=Punch O=Energy, but since there are only L and R buttons, not L1 L2 R1 R2 (standard PS2 controller) there is some getting used to.

The game follows the story of the DBZ movie Fusion Returns. I've yet to see the movie, but after playing the game I just might.

The main menu consist of Dragon Road, which is the story mode, Arcade, self-explainitory, Z Trial, which has to modes in it, survival and time attack, Network Battle, don't let the name fool you, you can only play wiht Ad Hov, Training, Profile Card, where you you veiw battle data and manage profile cards (I still don't really know what a profile card is), and Options, where you change your settings.

Story: 9.0 (If you seen the movie, you already
know what happens.)
Graphics: 9.7
Gameplay: 9.6
Likeability: 9.05
Re-Play: Very High
Sound: 8.0
Total: 9.4
